This sweet girl found herself in our care when a Good Samaritan informed us that Fergie's family ran out of options to care for her since she was…infested with ticks. The family's solution was to put her down. Immediately, close friends said that WAS NOT an option and to sign an owner surrender form to relinquish this sweet girl to a rescue.

When Fergie was picked up from her previous owners, she had more than just ticks galore! Her nails were so long they were curling in and she also had a UTI, ear infections and a skin infection - all of which she’s currently being treated for. We took her in for a full medical exam and to everyone’s surprise her blood results were wonderful and her Lyme Disease test was negative.

This barely 8lb lady comes fully vaccinated, house trained (even asks to go bathroom!) and would do well in a home with other dogs or a someone working full time at home even if they have no dogs! She loves company and to stick by your side or better yet sit right in your lap too!
