This gorgeous gentleman is Diesel! He is about 3.5 years old and was found as a stray in Brooklyn. He was a staff favorite due to his excellent behavior, and when we saw his handsome picture we knew we had to help him.
Diesel is in a foster home with four other dogs and absolutely adores them. The behaviorist at the shelter told us he was especially "dog savvy" and she was 100% correct, as he romps and plays with dogs of all sizes in his foster home. He is very close to perfect - he also loves all humans, is crate trained (but does not need to be crated since he is extremely well behaved when left alone for up to 7 hours), and is completely housebroken. He has proven to be great "off leash" once he bonded with his foster family and would be a great walking or hiking companion.
Diesel enjoys chewing on nylabones, ripping up stuffed toys, fetching tennis balls, and treats! He was a bit skinny when he first arrived, however his love of treats and food have helped him gain some weight. He is very affectionate, and will lay on top of you or next to you when he wants to cuddle. He is a big, goofy guy, and he makes his foster family laugh when he falls off the couch, trips over his feet, or stares at you with his big puppy eyes. He enjoys running around and chasing the other dogs in the backyard.
Diesel is about 65 pounds, neutered, up to date on all his shots, housebroken, crate trained, and microchipped. He is a great all around dog, and we know he would make a wonderful addition to any loving family!
