My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We want to be up front about Stirling Moss -

He is fearful of men and is a fear biter towards them.

He is a very sweet little dog that loves women and will be your best friend but he can be scared of strange men and if approached may bite .. He is not suitable for an apt as going up and down in an elevator with strangers would not be good for him.

He did warm up to his fosters husband after a few days, but he is a very experienced dog owner and had the patience to work with him. He loves to hang out on his doggie bed or in a big open crate. He gets along with the other dogs and loves to run and play with his toys. He is fairly well house trained and loves going on walks, and riding in the car.. He would be a great companion for a female household. He loves women and will sit on your lap, follow you everywhere and be a great little dog. As a fear biter, when out in public, or with company, he should be controlled on leash.

He is approx 2 years old and 10 lbs. He looks like a llasa mix.

Here is from his foster mom - He's doing well. And he's been fine around men, and even strangers. But I think he needs someone who avoids stressful situations in the beginning (like taking him to work to meet strangers). My dad and his wife came over the other night, I put Sterling upstairs until they got in the door and it wasn't as loud. And he did great when he came downstairs. As for other dogs, he gets along fine with mine. Sometimes Susie growls at him, or he growls at Susie but it lasts a few seconds. Otherwise, they get along great. I think he'd do fine with a buddy.

We think he may have been hit by a car and needed an Fho that our orthopedic surgeon completed, he also had a fractured pelvis which had healed so the surgeon felt he did not need any more repair, he did test positive for heartworms and has been treated with the required number of shots, we usually find that the dogs test clear in 4- 6 months, he has also been started on a monthly heart worm preventative that we require our dogs to be on for life,
