My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Ashton (aka Scruffy). This little guy was found at the Duplin Humane Society. He a Wirehaired terrier mix. He is 3 years old and weighs about 15 lbs. When we first got Ashton, he was a matted mess of hair. He has since been groomed and is looking very handsome. He has the most gorgeous brown eyes.

Ashton is very affectionate, especially towards women. Ashton can be a little skittish at first but quickly warms up to become the perfect lap dog. He is curious but not too adventurous.

Ashton is currently being treated for heartworms but is doing well on with the slow kill method.

Ashton will enter the NLOL program on September 9, 2019, and will be graduating sometime at the end of October. All NLOL dogs are fully vetted, up to date on vaccines and spayed or neutered and micro-chipped. When they graduate from The Pamlico Correctional Institution, they will have 8 to 10 weeks of crate and housebreaking training along with basic obedience and agility training.
