My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet lady is Ginger. She is 6-8 years old. She has been such a great dog to foster. Even though she is older, she is very playful. She loves her toys and makes the funniest of noises whenever she plays with them. Ginger will gladly go on walks with you and will be thrilled if you take her along on car rides. She also is a love bug and will take all the attention you have to offer. Belly rubs, chin scratches, cuddle time, you name it and she will love it as long as she gets love from you. Ginger is also a fan of her papasan chair and blankets. If she ever goes “missing” you will be sure to find her wrapped up in a blanket somewhere.
In August she finally had her surgery to remove all of the mammary masses she had when we first took her in back in June. About $500 later, she no longer had any masses. With her now being healed from surgery she is finally ready to find her forever home. We do recommend that her family gets her a dental.

Ginger is crate trained, and has been working on house training. If she is left unattended with access to the whole house, she will have accidents. At night time she is crated, and when we are away from home we leave her in one room with access to a pee pad if needed. She has had very minimal accidents with the way we have been doing this. She does get along with other dogs, but we are unsure about cats. She can be leash reactive, but we foster 3-4 dogs at a time and she has never had any issues with them. We believe that she is a jack russel chihuahua mix
