Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MIRACLE MOLLY has a personality and heart way beyond the routine descriptors of “sweet, smart and loving”. Molly is ten years old, has a beautifully shiny coat on half of her body, she is hard of hearing and blind. Molly originally connected with Second Chance Dogs in 2017. Worrisome as it was, she was on a six lane busy street trying to find her way. Many people pulled over to help, not even knowing she was blind. The owner was found and seemed receptive to getting Molly vet care.
In August of 2019, the owner was going to euthanize Molly due an odor from her skin (because she had not received vet treatment).
After one medicated bath, Molly’s skin had zero odor. You would love to see how content she is when being given a bath, it’s as though she’s receiving a spa treatment. She just sits there and enjoys the luxury of care. Blood work indicated she was dealing with infections. Antibiotics, ear and eye medicine did the trick of making Molly feel better. Even when her body was weaker, this dog shared her gentle nature.
Molly is outrageously resilient! She makes her way around the house with ease. Sure, once in awhile, she may bump into something but she just keeps going. She can hear her name, her canine roommate’s barking, the garage door opening, claps, whistles & senses when someone leaves the room and travels right after them. Molly is a people dog!
This gem of a gal is dog and cat friendly. She wags her tail a little bit more each day.
Miss Molly has an appointment with a specialist in September. Second Chance Dogs wants more information about her sight. Her eyes do not create tears. We are anxious to hear if we can further address her condition. A fundraiser will be put in place, as the next step will be costly. If you meet Molly, you will quickly know, she is worth everyone’s dedication and responsible care.
Molly is extremely adoptable. She does not have any behavioral issues at all! Her special needs add to the treasured experience of knowing and loving her. A home with people being present, and no stairs (ramps and child gate accommodations can be considered). Her future forever home will need people who can easily pick her up (22 pounds).
Molly is beyond intelligent. She’s a survivor and enjoys the quality of each day.
If Molly grabbed your heartstrings, you may want to read this article about blind dogs. NOTHING to be afraid of, just go through life with this amazing rescue dog!
