Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pekingese female 7 years Such a sad, sad story for her beginning. She was bred over and over, producing hundreds of babies, only to be tied up in the mountains once her reproductive life was over. Thankfully, Uriel came upon her when he did. He rescued her (you can see the pictures of her rescue in her album) and brought her home to nurse her back to health. She is doing amazing at foster momma Daniela's home. Daniela has the most amazing empath border collies that help rescue dogs recover from trauma. And Nandina loves them. Nandina is 7 years young, full of spunk for a senior lady and loves all the attention she can soak up. She is a bitty thing, pretty much purse sized, who can go just about anywhere with her family. She has perfect house manners . She is a smart little cookie. We adore this little one. She is ready to meet her family and it might just be you ....if you are lucky that is. For more information on how to meet our dogs, please fill in the online application at nobordersanimalrescuesociety.ca as this is the first step to meeting our dogs.

We are a registered non profit society. All our dogs are vaccinated, sterilized and are fostered in homes with families.
NOBARS believes that a dog is best assessed for a new home environment by living in one!!!! Therefore we do not use kennels, but have a network of approved foster homes where our dogs can be properly assessed before being offered for rehoming. Our foster homes offer a varied range of experiences which means we can choose an appropriate foster home for each dog, but it also means our dogs are able to experience situations which are invaluable to owners looking to take on a new forever friend, such as children, cats and other dogs.
