My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our boy Gilbert was at Baldwin Park shelter for far too long. He was in distress. But we rescued him and took him home and he was SO happy! It was like he came back into himself and became Gilbert again!

Gilbert is a 5 year-old American Bulldog, with a soupcon of Boxer thrown in. He seems to have been an outside dog, but has good house manners. He is good with other dogs his size (proper introductions, etc.), but not good with little dogs or cats. He is great riding in the car and loves getting baths. Gilbert seems housetrained and responds well to "go pee pee."

Can you foster or adopt Gilbert? He's a kind dog, and would love to sleep in a dog bed next to your bed, then wake up in the morning and go for a nice walk in the sun before breakfast. The rest of the day he'll hang out while you work or laze around the backyard. And you'd let us save another.
