My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Venus is 9 years young (BD:5/20/10). She weighs 12.2 pounds and is a stunning black and cream long haired dachshund. Currently Miss Venus is wearing her short summer hairdo but her little hobbit feet can't be contained. Venus has had her dental, is spayed, and is up to date on her shots. She has arthritis in her right shoulder so long hikes are out but she loves to stroll and strut her stuff. She is allergic to fleas which is common with dachshunds and has been on Comfortis for flea protection.

Venus gets along well with other dogs, cats are okay. She is not fond of puppies but loves human babies! She is dog door and house trained and loved her dog stairs. She is very affectionate and loves snuggles and belly rubs.

The ideal home for Venus will be one where the primary human works from home, is a homebody or is retired. Venus needs a fenced area she can use for exploring and taking care of business. She loves short walks, dog beds to snuggle into for a good snooze, poking her head out the dog door to get all the smells while laying in a nice dry house, and having a buddy if possible.
