My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Asha!

I am a Wadi dog from the country of Oman and at 4 years old weighing approx. 45lbs. I was rescued along with some of my brothers and sisters at a very young age and spent most of my life in shelters.

One of my hobbies is climbing big rocks! I could probably be an agility dog with the right training. I do prefer the low-key lifestyle overall though, and don’t need a lot of exercise to be happy.

I am quite shy meeting new people and when in new situations. Sometimes I can be a bit picky about my dog friends as well. But once I made a friend, I love playing with them.
Please think about adopting me. I am ready to show a family that I can be a great family member.
Asha would do best in a quiet house, with low activity.

Fast Friends adopts in the New England area. If you are interested in Asha or one of our other available dogs, please complete an adoption application at http://www.helpinggreyhounds.org/adopt.

Fast Friends envisions a world where no Greyhound or sighthound lacks for a loving home and these breeds are valued and celebrated for their uniqueness.

Fast Friends works closely with both international and domestic partners to bring retired racing Greyhounds and other sighthounds in need from countries where they have almost no chance of a local adoption to its facility in Swanzey, New Hampshire. Each dog receives high quality care with a focus on one-on-one staff time and individualized plans to help them overcome any neglect or trauma they have experienced so that they can be successful in a home. We are dedicated to taking in dogs with the most challenging circumstances.
