Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rigby is an adorable boy who is 3 years old and weighs 6 lbs. He is being fostered outside of Birmingham, AL.
UPDATE BIO 08/31/2019: Little Rigby has settled into his foster home nicely. He received a good report at the vet and he is a very healthy little boy. Rigby has also been groomed, and the groomer said he was a little nervous at first, but let her bathe and groom him without any problems. What a good boy!
Rigby enjoys riding in the car, playing ball and going for walks on the leash. He continues to sleep in the bed at night and has chosen the recliner to lounge around in during the day. He tolerates his 4 fur-brothers and sisters, but he likes to have all the attention; therefore, he would do best as an only dog. It is uncertain how he would react to a cat, so probably a home where he is the only prince in the home would be perfect. Rigby does growl at the other dogs in the home at times and has also growled at the child in his foster home. Although this behavior has not been a big problem, his foster mom feels that a home with no children and no other animals would suit Rigby just fine.
It has been determined that Rigby is not completely house-trained since his former owner kept him in diapers all the time. His foster mom is working with him on this, leaving the diaper off during the day and taking him out every 2 hours during the day. This is working well and so far he has not had any accidents. He will wear the diapers without any problems, but he does not like wearing them.
If you are looking for a cuddle bug who likes to be with his people, then Rigby is the one for you. Rigby is ready for his forever home.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to Rigby’s small size, he cannot go into a home with children under the age of 14 years old. Rigby would be happiest if he is the only animal in the home.
