Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Violet is a 3-year-old petite Black Dane. Violet LOVES to play with other dogs and really enjoys the activity. She may be small but makes up for it with love and attention. She loves nothing more to get in your lap for a good snuggle. She is a smart funny girl who just wants someone’s complete attention.
Violet came to MAGDRL in August (5).
Update 9-13-19
Violet has really settled in at her foster home and shown us just how much of a sweetheart she really is. When she first came to the foster family, she was a bit shy and nervous, especially around men. However, she has warmed up very quickly and absolutely loves to snuggle up with everyone and give kisses. She greets us with a toy when we walk into the house and is always a happy girl!
Violet is an active Dane and LOVES to go for walks and car rides. We've taken her to the dog park twice and she has gotten along well with the other dogs. She would be a perfect dog for someone who loves to jog or run - she has gone out with her foster mom on short jogs and she will keep a perfect pace at your side. Violet also LOVES any and all squeaky toys and carries her favorites around with her everywhere (including on walks!). She has been left loose in the house alone for up to 6 hours and is trustworthy, though she may try to counter-surf for tasty treats. At night, she curls up on her dog bed next to her foster mom but would also probably love to climb up into the bed and snuggle too! Violet would probably love to have some other dogs to play with, or at least be in an active household.
Update 10-10-19
Violet has really settled into her foster home and showing us just what a sweetheart she really is. She absolutely loves to cuddle on the couch and watch TV all day - in fact, if you're doing housework, Violet will follow you around and wonder why you aren't on the couch watching TV with her! Despite her inherent laziness, she really loves car rides and walks, and gets very excited when we get out her harness! Lately, Violet has really enjoyed a weekly visit to Petsmart, where she picks out a new squeaky toy, which she proudly carries around the entire store. Violet is fully house-trained and has had no accidents, and will let you know if she needs to go outside. She has been left alone for up to 6 hours with no problems. Her foster mom thinks that Violet would do well in a house with other dogs, or in a house where she isn't left alone for too long. She loves company - either human or dog!
