Tessa has already been in a halfway relationship where she was just something pretty but no one really cared about her so she ended up spending several weeks in a noisy overcrowded hot shelter. Finally she was truly 'rescued' through a wonderful rescue group and placed in a loving foster home where she has just thrived and shined. Tessa is a 1 year old Husky /Shepard mix weighing 45 lbs with one of the sweetest demeaners we have seen. She is wonderful with kids, loves to play with other dogs, and her meeting with a friend's cat was heartwarming. She just calmly laid down right next to him so we are pretty sure she will be fine with cats. Tessa is house trained by way of a doggie door leading to a fenced in yard. She may need a couple of extra days of training to learn new routines and signals. She is very good in her crate should crating ever be needed. Tessa loves going for 'short' walks and she does pretty good on leash for the most part only needing an occasional reminder to not pull. She would love to live a life of leisure with a little play time thrown in. This sweet girl is very much looking forward to leaving the hot muggy south to head for cooler northern weather. She has managed to cool down during the summer by playing in the doggie pool and laying in the occasional mud puddle. She rides great in the car so she will gladly go with her family on road trips. Tessa is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. This precious girl is very laid back and easy going and she would love nothing more than to be with a forever loving family who will actually make her a part of the family. Tessa isn't going to be a halfway companion so she doesn't need a halfway family. It's all or nothing as it should ALLways be! If you're ready to go all in then Tessa is definitely ready to give you her...everything.
