Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing Max! I am a 4.5 month old, black lab who was turned in by my owners because they could not give me the care and attention that I need. I am a big boy, weighing in at 53 lbs and I’m still growing - you should see my feet! I have settled in well with my foster family, sleep in my crate at night with minimal fuss, get along great with my foster dog siblings, am housetrained and ride well in the car. I’m not destructive in the house or yard, although I am a puppy, so you need to keep an eye on me because that could change in an instant. And I am teething – so chew toys are a must!
I’ve been minimally introduced to the pool, however I LOVE water and will play in the lawn sprinklers and dunk my head in my water dish. I have a very amiable, loving and laid-back personality, so I would do well with other dogs and I’m gentle and sweet with kids, although I do get excited and may jump up at first. It’s unknown if I’ve interacted with any cats, but my foster mom thinks I would do just fine with a feline friend. I love being around people and can usually be found sleeping at someone’s feet or stretched out on the cool tile. I love going on walks, however I do need additional instruction so I don’t pull. Like any puppy, I need regular exercise and someone who will make sure to teach me my puppy manners. I respond well to treats and will do anything for a snack or a Kong filled with peanut butter.
