Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Zeke (left) and Paisley are a 7 yo male and female bonded pair. They will need to be only pets. A fenced in yard is best for them. Zeke loves to roll around in the grass. Paisley loves belly rubs. Both of them want as much attention as you’re willing to give!
Zeke is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and heartworm/Lyme testing (negative), and just had a dental. He is managing well with Addison's disease, having it since he was 1. He is on a daily steroid and gets an injection every 25-28 days.
Paisley came into rescue spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is heartworm/Lyme tested (negatvie). She had bladder stones removed 4 years ago and is on prescription food for the rest of her life.
If you would like to be considered to adopt Paisley and Zeke, you must first apply. Please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com for our rescue's adoption application. Please be sure to keep a watch on your Spam and Junk folders if you don't see a response in your email inbox. If you've already applied, please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com to be added to the list of those being considered.
Rescue Schnauzers usually weigh between 15-25 pounds, they are up to date on shots, heartworm tested and spayed/neutered prior to placement. We make reasonable efforts to evaluate the health and temperament of each dog, however we cannot make any guarantees.
We are not a shelter and do not have a central facility to visit our rescue schnauzers. All dogs are kept in foster homes located throughout the area we cover. PLEASE NOTE: We rescue schnauzers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and southern Pennsylvania. We can only accept applications within a reasonable driving distance of our areas of coverage, which includes Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and eastern West Virginia. For a rescue contact in other areas, please go to our website http://www.schnauzerrescue.net and click on Rescue Links. We have a need for volunteers in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
Our website features lots of great information about the rescue process, book reviews and training tips. You can donate to Paisley and Zeke's care at http://schnauzerrescue.net/Donate.htm via PayPal or check. All donations go to the veterinary fund and are tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Thanks for your support!
