OLLIE IS A MALTESE/YORKIE MIX!
8/26/19 - This is my first experience with posting a personal ad, but here goes: I’m sweet, affectionate, loyal, have a great sense of humor and am a good listener. I’m looking for a serious relationship with an individual (or family) with the same traits. I love to go on walks, dine in, stay up late talking or just spend quiet time together watching television. If you are in the market for a great guy, and my profile interests you, maybe we can start a new life together. Looking forward to meeting you.
Ollie’s family surrendered him because they were so busy and thought he was lonely at home alone and needed some four-legged friends and someone who stayed home more. He actually doesn’t play with the other pups in the foster home but co-exists with them fine and seems to like having one or two around. He sleeps in bed with foster mom and the other pups and prefers sleeping on the human pillow. He is a great eater and really enjoys his treat after his meal.
He loves all people. He will need a variety of toys and would really enjoy if someone liked to throw them for him. He does well on his potty habits but does have mistakes at times. He really needs a fenced yard to explore in but would love to go for walks as well. He likes to sit with you and also bed held but does enjoy his own space at times. That must be where the Maltese kicks in since yorkies are so clingy. He will whine and bark when his foster mom leaves to run errands. He is afraid of bad weather but is ok if talk to him and comfort him.
When he first arrived at his foster home, he was timid and gradually opened up. We are sure this will be the same when he moves again, so someone will have to be very supportive and loving while he transitions into a new home. He hasn’t been professionally groomed that much, so does not do well with that, but we are bringing him so he can get better with it. His foster mom also bathes him every weekend so he can get better with that. He doesn’t like to be brushed either, especially around his face, so someone will have to be patient and offer him treats at that time. Since his hair can tangle easily, it will be a necessity.
He can and will jump on and off the sofa, but unless your bed is lower, he will need steps or a bench to get on and off the bed. He likes to give kisses and getting them on the side of his face.
So, to respond to Ollie’s personal ad, just fill out the online adoption application and hit submit. But understand, this guy is ready to settle down into a serious relationship.
