My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I was born with a leg/foot deformity and was given to Remi's Pet Recovery; they have done everything possible to fix my leg and NOT have to amputate. Two ortho surgeries were performed as I was warned this would be a process and a complicated situation; most doctors who looked at me had never seen this problem before!! My last surgery the Doctor had to amputate all my toes and took the padding under my foot and created a 'club foot'. My two toes were upside down and I had my toenails growing through the bottom of my paw pads which were causing pain when I walked, therefore, I was not wanting to use my leg at all. I am now recovering and through some rehabilitation, the doctor is very optimistic that I will be able to keep my leg and live a normal, healthy life; I may have a limp but who really cares about perfection! I am the sweetest girl and my foster family has taught me manners and have been very consistent with my routine and keeping me grounded. I am crate trained, mostly house trained and play nicely with my foster siblings including a little doxie, a cat and a bigger pitty just like me!! I am up-to-date on my vaccines- on heartworm/flea prevention- and will be spayed/microchipped at 6 months per our veterinarian's recommendations! My rescue is starting the process and will start taking applications for me! Please consider making me a part of your family?
