My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Momma cat Lilly was taken in by a lady TRYING to help this beautiful stray, but the good citizen got in over her head as more and more kitties began to show up at her home. It often happens this way ~ people mean well and their intentions are good, but the next thing they know, one mama has kittens and then the next one does until things get out of control. Lilly, who is young, beautiful and mega friendly, had six gorgeous kittens that foster mom Laura took in at approximately two weeks of age. Laura has been a kitty foster mom for about 16 years. She usually takes cat moms with litters and definitely pay a LOT of attention to them. She starts holding them on their backs in her hands at a very early age so they'll trust people. She has people who won't adopt from anyone but her and can even give you references if you'd like. To adopt/reserve one of Laura's kitten fosters via JACC--- potential adopter must fill out a JACC foster/adoption form and give to her. She can email the forms or you can fill it out at her home. Once a kitten is old enough/ready enough (around 8 weeks after second distemper shot) they can go home as a FOSTER if app has been approved. Laura will provide you with directions to her home in order to meet and pick up the kitten. Potential adopter must agree to take the kitten to the shelter for spay or neuter and the remainder of their vetting when the time is due. Potential adopter must understand that things can happen in any surgery. It’s incredibly RARE, but it’s always a possibility that a heart condition shows up or the cat is allergic to anesthesia or whatnot and does not make it. Laura will stay in touch and keep the adopter apprised of all the appropriate dates. The kitten will need to spend 1-2 nights at the shelter at the final vetting point in order to go to a local vet for final vetting. When the potential adopter goes back to pick their kitten up at the shelter after final vetting, they will fill out a contract, pay the $60 adoption fee (ALL vetting included in this fee!) and the adoption will be final. A reduced fee is available if adopting two kittens. Laura's email is Lapa@aeneas.net Cell is 731-431-5710. Text or email preferred.
