HISTORY:
Nylah was surrendered by her owner to an open admission animal control facility.
ABOUT:
Nylah’s foster family described this fantastic lady with the following words: Calm, Social, Independent, and Easygoing. Nylah has a fantastic balance. She absolutely loves to be around her foster family and is a magnet for an open lap, but if her foster family is busy or moving around she is content to position herself somewhere in the room so that she can just watch them. She will sit politely at a distance while they are working at the table, but any laps available on the sofa will be filled. Despite loving to be with her people she is not needy and does just fine when her foster family is gone for work or an overnight trip. She’s generally a calm lady, but generally gets a little burst of energy after her evening meal when her foster family is home. She likes to have a little round with the cat toys or a brief case of the zoomies, but then will settle back down and resume her hunt for an available lap to relax in. Nylah was previously fostered in a home with 2 other cats, she was not completely comfortable with them, but she was not aggressive. She might be agreeable to a slow integration into a home with a calm, gentle cat who does not want to press the issue of interacting together. Nylah is a little anxious around people when she first meets them, but in very short order she is climbing into their laps. She loves to be pet and comes running when her foster family puts on their grooming/massage glove to pet her. Nylah is truly a delight and will make an excellent companion for someone who needs a lap warmer while watching TV or reading a book, and a foot warmer at bed time.
