Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BROWNIE is a 4.5-year-old neutered male fox red lab. Brownie weighs 56 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.
DESCRIPTION Brownie was a bit shy in the shelter environment. His previous owner had a huge farm, so he was an outside dog with lots of room to run. And Brownie seemed to gain confidence from their other dog Snow, so he will need to go to a home with at least one other dog to help his confidence. Going slowly and talking gently with Brownie helps him warm up. Once he knows you, Brownie's very sweet and playful. Brownie has learned to walk on a leash. Brownie is good with other dogs. He lived with Snow in his previous home, and he was tested on lead with another dog at the shelter and did fine. From vet: Brownie is very shy and may be a flight risk. So he needs to be secure when he's outside Brownie was an owner surrender to the shelter with a black Lab who has already gone to another rescue. Their owner died several months ago, so neighbors were taking care of them. They were surrendered to the shelter when their owner's family wouldn't take them from the neighbors.
