My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE**
Review the ADOPTION PROCESS PAGE on our WEBSITE and complete the DOG APPLICATION.
We understand that it important to you to find the right fit for your family. We feel the same way! The application is important and necessary for this reason.

Meet LOVEY!

Lovey is a darling lowrider. She is around five years old and 57 lbs of stocky muscle. She received her name because of her loving personality. So much so, she gives kisses and hugs on command! Check out her video with her foster mom!

Lovey is house trained and is a perfect lady. She waits patiently for her foster mom to come home from work and loves to relax and watch movies or play in the yard a bit when she's home. She also loves to go for car rides!

Unfortunately, Lovey has been attacked by other dogs, which has made her uneasy around other canines. We can't really blame her. However, she tested well with cats on her initial cat test. We can perform more thorough cat tests if her potential home would have felines as part of the family.

Lovey has the most adorable army crawl and will steal your heart if you meet her. If you are looking for the dog that you can't wait to see when you get home and that makes you feel like the world is a better place because you're in it, then you need to meet Lovey!

Adoption Fee: $85.00

All of our Adoptables are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested (and kept on heartworm preventative and treated for heartworms if positive when entering our program) and microchipped prior to adoption.

*If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 2 hours driving distance due to limited resources and difficulty ensuring the right match, especially if there are already animals in the home.

**PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.

Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care.  As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.

Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!
