Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Moonpie is a very friendly cat who lived in the basement of a building until the super decided he didn’t want him anymore and put him outside. The local cat feeder was very concerned about his safety and asked me to catch him. Moonpie is so friendly and trusting that I was able to just pick him up and pop him into a carrier. I was immediately struck by how soft his fur is and you can see from the photo what a big, cuddly, teddy bear he is. Because of his sweet, round face, I named him after a cookie.
Moonpie was already neutered when we found him. He’s been SNAP tested (neg/neg), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies and FVRCP. He has also been treated for fleas and parasites. He is approximately 6-8 years old. His overall health is excellent, but he will need dental care/cleaning in the near future. Moonpie would benefit from being on a diet because his former owner allowed him to become overweight.
Moonpie is very social and loves hanging out with people and other cats. He even allows brushing and nail trimming. He’s a big fan of eating and napping, but he also likes to play, especially with wand toys, packing paper, and boxes. He's a huge fan of boxes.) Remarkably, he has become friends with a high-strung female at his foster's house and she doesn't like any of the other cats. Props to Moonpie for being such a charmer. We can’t imagine why he was thrown out. All he wants is to be in a safe and caring environment. While a permanent home is ideal, a foster home would also be welcome, so he can get the love and attention that he deserves and that will help his personality continue to blossom.
