Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB: March 1, 2016
Lil Poundcake is a sweet, quiet cat. She likes gentle affection (often on her terms and timetable). She chirps and purrs quietly when she is happy. And she is most happy in a quiet sunny spot near people, where she can keep an eye on things (and come for pets and head scritches when she wants) but is out of any kind of chaos or hubbub. She is the most gentle sweet cat her foster parents have ever met.
She loves to head to the kitchen and try to stick her head in the fridge when she hears it open and she is waiting for food. She feels much safer/secure eating on a shelf or counter (basically any elevated open platform). She has also appointed herself "official morning Cheerios Inspector," she LOVES milk (even though she should not have it).
Poundcake has a sensitive tummy, and needs monitoring and encouragement to eat, as she could use some fattening up. She is dealing with a bout of pancreatitis, so it’s important to make sure she is eating enough food, and that the food is formulated for sensitive tummies.
She is a beautiful cat but like many with longer coats sometimes struggles with hairballs and will need an owner that is willing and able to continue with daily brushing and supplements for her digestion and coat. She really is THE sweetest cat imaginable, but seems to prefer to avoid other cats now. She would probably do best in a quiet home, without other pets or small children, preferably a home with someone home to give her the attention she needs to continue her socialization progress.
Special note from the foster family: Lil Poundcake just stole our hearts, and if she were happy with other cats, we would have gladly adopted her. She will be a wonderful companion and addition to the right home. In the evening she likes to hop up and lay next to our feet while we read, or walk up to us for some petting or head scratches and then settles down nearby. She really just needs some kindness, love and a little bit of patience.
