We are looking for a rescue minded home for this handsome boy. As he is very loyal to his family once he moves to a new forever home, he will not understand his family is not coming back for him and act like he is just visiting with strangers. We need his new home to understand he needs time to adjust as Duke is fear reactive. He is well mannered, house trained, walks well on leash, fine meeting non-aggressive dogs on his walks and fine walking with people he doesn’t know – he just does not want any attention from them. He loves his treats and has a very playful side – he will carry his leash in his mouth on his walks. He has great recall – he just is very weary of people he doesn’t know that want to touch him. He is an intelligent, independent, loyal, quiet, kinda guy. Duke is better suited in a mature home. He loves his walks and playing in the backyard with his humans. After a busy day he is ready to curl up on the sofa with you.
