Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Temperament: Fun, cute, stubborn
Activity level: Puppy-level! Walks in the morning and evening; runs in the backyard.
Vetting: Vaccinated (core vaccines), 4dx bloodwork negative for heartworm & three tick borne diseases (Ehrlichia/Anaplasma and Lyme), Fecal (negative), dewormed, flea/tick/heartworm prevention given, microchipped, paediatric spay completed at Rosedale Moorepark Vet, Complete Blood Count (CBC) and Wellness bloodwork which showed low proteins which could be from malnourishment. Our vet is not too concerned as this is common in dogs that have not had a great start in life. Recheck recommended in a few months after more nutritional food and love!
Housebroken: Working on it! Pee pad trained but occasional accidents overnight.

Good with Cats? Good!
Good with Children? Great!!!!

Leash Etiquette & Reactivity: Walks well on leash but can be distracted by all the exciting things out there. Working on her focus.
Response to Commands: Learning sit, stay, down and no.
Noisy? Warns of someone at door, barks at reflection in patio door at night!
Crate trained? Yes.
Resource Guarding: None noted.
Feeding: 3/4 cup around 8am and again at 7pm. Crate trained and fed.

*bio may change as we get to know Nala better.
Can you feel the love tonight? It’s where Nala is! Like her namesake in The Lion King, Nala is strong and stubborn and a lot of fun! A happy-go-lucky pup, Nala is a young, brave adventurer who wants to see and do everything. And sometimes chew most things....
In Swahili, Nala means gift. And that’s what Nala is – a gift of joy and unbridled enthusiasm. She’ll need her new mom or dad to train her and help her learn how to be a dignified (but still fun) young lady so she can be the very best dog she can be.
Nala just can’t wait to be queen (of your heart). If you’re interested in this adorable pup, contact adopt@covetedcanines.org or fill out an application at covetedcanines.org/application
