Little Dan - adolescent kitten - male/neutered - 5 pounds - white and gray short coat
Little Dan, also known affectionately as Moose, needs a home by the end of July. No, he is not at risk of euthanasia - quite the opposite. He was lucky enough to be abandoned at the farm of true Good Samaritans, but they are unable to keep him past the end of this month, and yet are caring for him and having him neutered and vaccinated. Little Dan is cross-posted here in fervent hope that someone will reach out and provide him a home.
Clearly, Little Dan was once someone’s kitten. He had obviously known the safety of indoors, and the joy of being touched. It must have been very frightening for him to be abandoned outdoors without food or water, and it was brave of him to show himself to his rescuers. He sought their help trustingly and hopefully, and he immediately set about showing them that he was affectionate, that he loved attention and petting, and that he needed their help.
Little Dan’s marking are a beautiful play of gray spots on a pure white coat. His eye contact is open, soft, warm and imploring.
He has not yet quite grown into his long body and long legs. His care providers love to watch his happy past times; Little Dan sleeps contentedly and often, and when he is awake he excels in playing with leaves, and chasing his tail. He likes to rub against people’s legs to ask for petting.
Little Dan loves people, plain and simple. He would be the most loving and devoted companion to a home full of loving people who want a good, honest, affectionate cat. He responds immediately to the slightest attentions with eager responsiveness, and has even learned the cue “come.”
We hope that someone will respond to this post on behalf of Little Dan, a small being whose continuing faith in people deserves to be rewarded by a committed and loving family.
