Meet Luke!

Luke has a special place in the hearts of all UMDR volunteers! Luke had a rough go of it after being isolated in a pen with his siblings as a young pup, with no human interaction. After 1.5 years, he was rescued and came to us, scared half to death, and afraid of his own shadow. Luke also tested positive for heart worms.

Fast forward 6 months and Luke is heart worm free, and is friendly and enjoying life. Luke is loving, sweet and friendly. He lives with two cats, is house trained and loves to walk on a leash through the quiet neighborhood. Luke is very playful and loves to play with other dogs, he does very well at play dates and would love going to the dog park. With all of our adult dogs, we offer a 'foster to adopt' program to help with the transition of getting a new dog. This helps make sure Luke would be the right fit for your family. you can read more about this program on our website unchainedmelodies.org
