My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Foster mommy named me “Gem” because I am so precious. I was rescued when my original “owners” kicked me out for being in heat. They didn’t like the noises I made. It isn’t my fault they didn’t have me spayed! I decided to move over to a neighbor’s porch to eat with the feral kitties because my original owners didn’t buy me cat food. I was emaciated and covered in hundreds and hundreds of fleas – to the point where I was anemic and the vet had to give me subcutaneous fluids and antibiotics. I am so thankful that I no longer have fleas. My fur is starting to grow back and I am also gaining weight. I feel so good! Moving to a neighbor’s house was the best decision I could have ever made.
I am loving life in my foster home. Not only do I not have to worry about my next meal, but foster mom plays with me. My favorite toy is the feather stick. I am in a multi-cat home and am fine with the other cats. I was around large dogs, puppies and children in the home that abandoned me.
