My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Raul is an approximately 10 year old Male Neutered Shitzu Mix. Super sweet, affectionate boy! He is mostly blind and while he doesn’t need time warming up to people, he does need time in new environments. Finds comfort in his own spaces, likely because he was found roaming the streets all alone, but does not do well crated. Has had free roam of an entire room and does well in a large penned or gated area. House broken, but can’t hold his bladder longer than about 8 hours. Enjoys going for short walks, but really all he wants in his new shot at life is snuggles and belly rubs in the comfort of a loving home. Great with other dogs, unsure about cats. Barks, but actually very quiet most of the time. Has a few skin issues and dry eye, while both will need life long care he is very appreciative of his treatments.

Dogs will only be adopted to residents of the following: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and DC.

Adopters must agree to take the dog through obedience training within 3 months of adoption (unless the dog is over age 10).

Adopters must agree to keep the dog current on vaccinations and heart worm, flea, tick prevention on a year round basis.
