My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CHARKIE is a 8-year-old spayed female black lab. Charkie weighs 83 pounds but needs to lose 10 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.

DESCRIPTION CHARKIE is a sweet, pretty lady who likes going for walks, sniffing and exploring, and snuggling up with her humans. She has big brown eyes, floppy ears, and a smile as bright as the summer sun. This happy girl needs to get in shape and shed a few pounds so she can look her best at the beach! She likes to go for car rides and is hoping to find a family that will take her along on their adventures. Charkie is good with dogs. Charkie was an owner surrender to the shelter because she was too interested in the chickens.

UPDATE: Charkie is settling in for some fun with her foster family. The first thing she did was get in the baby pool and sprawl out!! She is a bit chunky, but seems eager to stretch her legs so she will be fit and trim in no time. More info to come as well learn about this sweet girl.
