My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benjamin is a sweet 11 year old with a big personality looking for his forever home. He is a confident kitty, and trots to and fro to explore at the slightest sound--you won't find him hiding under the bed! Do you want a cat who will greet you at the door with a loud, confident meow? Are you a lazy person who sometimes likes to go for a walk? Benjamin too!! Read on!

His favorite things to do include talking all day long, eating (he does have hyperthyroid, more info below), exploring closets (he can open unlatched doors), going on walks on a leash, and lying on you, preferably starting early in the morning. He'll also be waiting for you by the door when you're out, and you'll hear him yelling from outside as he's upset you've been gone for an hour. Even visitors and strangers, he'll be rushing to the door if he hears any kind of excitement.

He is a cat who loves to explore--as soon as you let him out of the carrier, he will sniff out every corner of the house and look out every window. On the other hand, he will also take every opportunity to lounge on any soft surface he can find, including your lap or your chest. I also enjoys a good brushing and doesn't mind having his claws clipped!

He was diagnosed with hyperthyroid in August of 2019 and takes a pill twice a day, which he gobbles up mixed in his wet food no problem. He can definitely do with some weight gain. While he is underweight, he is still an extra large cat--long body, long legs, and lots of runway for your pets!
