Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3.
Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com
***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!***
WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS.
Please do not contact us to come look at a dog.
We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog.
We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Renton, WA.
Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to cover medical bills. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase QuickPay, PayPal, or cash.
Tommy 3 years old, male, 12.3 lbs, possibly a schnauzer/poodle mix, neutered, just had a dental with scale & polish, microchipped, up to date on shots & tested & heart worm negative.
Some dogs just flaw you as to why they could possibly end up in a kill shelter about to lose their precious life. Well in this case it’s beyond sad to think that the sweetest little angel Tommy almost lost his. Tommy was in a kill shelter in CA & he sat there & sat there & sat there until we found him because thank goodness we did because he was going to lose his life. We got him out of the shelter & now we want to find him the very best home ever.
Tommy’s foster mum said he is the biggest love & it actually breaks her heart, to think that he was dumped in a kill shelter as he is the loveliest little soul. He is so very kind & gentle. He just wants to be with you & snuggle with you, he sleeps with his foster mum in the same bed & must be able to in his forever home. Tommy follows his foster mum everywhere she goes as he is so grateful to her. He also sleeps in the bed with her so in his new loving forever home he should be able to sleep in bed with them. We will never know what happened to him or how he ended up at a kill shelter. Tommy would do best in a home where he is with his family all day, if he could go to work with them that would be great or if he is going to be at home another dog must be present in his forever home. Tommy rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good car ride & will try to give you a kiss & let you know how grateful he is & watches the world go by & takes it all in.
Tommy has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & is currently with other dogs. He adores people & follows his foster mum everywhere & adores his foster siblings.
Tommy is roughly 12.3 lbs, 3 years old, possibly a Schnauzer/poodle mix, male, neutered, microchipped, up to date on his shots, tested for heart worm & is negative, had a dental with a scale & polish.
Tommy has been around cats since being in the rescue & did great but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children.
We were not there when Tommy was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is.
As with all of our rescues & Tommy friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Tommy potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. Our dogs are looking for their right forever homes now.
We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying.
Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Tommy & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Tommy who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little angel.
Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately.
Tommy has adoption fee of $735 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.
