Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
One look at Polly's face and you can see why we had to help her.
Welcome to PWD Polly. We promise to give you the TLC & medical care you so desperately need.
Polly came to us from a busy PA shelter. The shelter staff fell in love with her (how could you not?) and were frantically searching for a rescue that would take on her needs. It was Polly's lucky day when she arrived here! She is emaciated, has mammary tumors, a heart condition, GI issues & is hard of hearing. Considering all she has going against her, she has spunk and personality. She craves human attention and follows us around like a shadow. She fit in like a glove at our senior home. Now she has canine and feline companionship, a warm and clean place to sleep, proper meals throughout the day, and the medical care she so desperately needed!
Our first task is getting her to a healthy weight before we address some of her bigger issues. It took her several days, but she now has a good appetite and is eating well & taking her medications like a champ! She will be looking like a different pup in no time!
We will keep you posted in Polly's Progress- we have faith that we can get her healthy again so her health matches her beautiful vibrant personality! She certainly is a ray of sunshine and will melt your heart the moment you meet her
Pupdate July 2019: Polly has made tremendous progress here. She has gained some much needed weight with the help of a special diet and the right medications we have her GI problems under control. Her next step is a visit to the cardiologist to see if her heart can handle anesthesia to proceed with removal of her mammary tumors.
