Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ann AKA "Maggie"
2 years old / 40lbs/ Hound lab mix
Maggie came to us shortly after having puppies. She’s very sweet and gets along great with the other dogs in the house. She took a while to warm up to them but now they spend hours playing together and wrestling in the back yard.
Maggie enjoys taking walks. Her confidence really shines when she’s out on a walk!
Maggie is a bit of a nervous nelly. She is food motivated. So with time and patience (and lots of treats!) she can be desensitized to scary things. She startles easily and connects easier with women.
She will cuddle up and lay with us and knows the commands outside, come, and kennel up. She sleeps all night in her kennel. We are still working on the potty training.
Often, she’ll run to her crate, where she feels safe. Due to her skittishness she’d do best in a home where the children are school aged or older. (She does great with the 5 year old in her foster home though)
Overall Maggie is a sweetheart and needs a loving family with time and big hearts to take her in and show her the love she deserves. Time, treats, and some training and Maggie will be a great family friend.
Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
