Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Oh’Lillian
Sex: Male
Origin: Yes, HIS name is Lillian. There was a miscommunication about his gender at the shelter and it stuck and he likes it and hey, we don’t subscribe to gender norms in this rescue.
Age: Approximately 2 Years
Weight: 10lbs.
Breed: Pug/Chihuahua on stilts
Before OMD: Found wandering as a stray; emaciated, shut down, hand shy and clearly not treated kindly by humans in his past.
Spirit Animal: Meerkat
Energy Level: Low to medium. He loves to play but also loves to nap!
Introvert or Extrovert: Introvert out in the world. Extrovert in his home.
Best Physical Features: His ears! They are so soft and they fly behind him and turn “inside out” when he races around the yard.
Dogs: A must have in his forever home. He needs a playful, confident dog sibling, ideally of the L-XL variety, who wants to play and then cuddle up and let him be the little spoon. His current BFF is an 80lb. Sheppie mix.
Cats: No idea but we think he would like a dog-savvy cat who would befriend him.
Kiddos: No thanks! Way too overwhelming.
Favorite Personality Trait: He's super mischievous and loves getting into harmless trouble. Mostly eating sticks and ripping up paper.
Working on: Stranger danger and basic manners.
Ideal Family: Patient. One that understands he needs time to feel safe before he shows you how awesome he is. Low key. New people make Lillian nervous so tons of guests coming and going won't be a good fit. Encouraging. One that celebrates the little things...the first time he wags his tail, you see a play now or he paws at you to pet him.
Housebroken: Great when on a schedule but needs a reminder about why he’s outside. Playing is way more fun than peeing.
Crate Trained: Perfect!
Lillian is vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative and microchipped. He is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application from omdrescue.org.
