Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This very happy girl is Libby. She is about 18 months old. She is a labrador mix. She is about 50 pounds. She has to most beautiful golden, soulful eyes that will melt your heart. We think Libby may have been abandoned after she had a litter of puppies. When we first got Libby she would zoom back and forth with excitement whenever someone would come to see her. But since she has been in training she has really mellowed out. She is learning to love and be loved. She gets along well with all the other dogs, especially her best friend Oggie. She and Oggie love to play tag.
Her trainer states that she really wants to please and responds well to praise. She is a very quick learner. So far she has learned the majority of her basic commands and she is learning to walk on and off a leash. Over the next couple of week, they hope to teach her a few tricks and to bring the ball back during a game of fetch. Right now she would rather give the ball to her BFF. She is like that with all her toys. She will happily and generously share all that she has.
If you think Libby could be part of your family, please visit her page at www.pamlicopaws.net and fill out an adoption application. If you would like any additional information about Libby, please call Kathy Kieffer at 703-819-8835 or Sue Ward at 252-626-3899.
Libby entered the NLOL program on July 10, 2019, and will be graduating sometime in September. All NLOL dogs are fully vetted, up to date on vaccines, spayed or neutered, and micro-chipped. When they graduate from The Pamlico Correctional Institution, they will have 8 to 10 weeks of crate and housebreaking training along with basic obedience and agility training.
We look forward to hearing from you.
