Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Klay is part of Canine Haven Rescue. To apply to adopt, please visit www.caninehavenrescue.com
Specifics:
~Healthy, 55 lbs, vaccinated, neutered, house trained and crate trained
~Walks well on leash, knows his commands and thrives on learning new skills
~Quiet boy with excellent recall and no resource guarding
~Medium energy level, enjoys playtime and walks, but also loves to cuddle, relax and receive belly rubs
~Very playful with other balanced dogs but doesn't like forceful dogs
~High prey drive for squirrels, chipmunks, etc. When a rodent is in the neighborhood, Klay suddenly becomes hearing impaired with his human
Klay's favourite things:
~playing games, walks and lots of outdoor adventures
~running and wrestling with other playful dogs
~treats, belly rubs and praise for being such a good boy
~classical and country music, snuggles and a dreamy nap after a yummy meal
Klay's Dreamhome Wishlist:
~Experienced dog owner able to implement clear rules and boundaries to ensure Klay remains balanced.
~Preferrably, a family with another balanced dog for Klay to become besties with
~A home where Klay wouldn't be left alone longer than 5 or 6 hours per day. A reputable dog walker or Doggy Daycare could also be an option if work hours are long
~A family able to provide Klay with plenty of outdoor activity and walks, including space to run, as well as mental stimulation
~A home in a rural or suburban setting with lots of greenspace to enjoy the great outdoors
~A home with a secure (minimum 6ft), fully fenced yard, as Klay has been known to scale tall buildings when it comes to squirrels!
~Preferably a family willing to continue feeding Klay a Raw Diet
