Macon is 10", 15lb Beagle boy, filled with so much love and has a happy & friendly personality.
We(H4S CARes and our vet) feel that Macon is ~3>4yo. His teeth show very little tartar(mostly staining), but no wear. Though, his muzzle may lead you to believe that he could be a little older. We feel that is merely his coloration and adds to his character.
He was rescued from Newberry Co, SC Animal Control, where he was brought in as a 'stray'.
Mason gets along well with other dogs and respectful children, walks well on-leash, is crate-trained and we believe he is housebroken, as long as he has access to a secured fenced-in backyard or regularly scheduled walks(3>4Xs daily). He will do best with a daily exercise regime(walks, jogging or hiking), because of his young age. Macon is not a couch potato!
LOVES to chase squirrels and rabbits INSIDE a fenced-in area...H4S requires that is pup is never allowed to run freely...that's how he ended up as a 'stray' at Animal Control.
We feel strongly that he had a family(with kids) at some time in his life. He is very friendly and is very willing to please his person, so would do WELL with obedience training, & plenty of love and attention.
H4S requires that his fur-ever home has a secured fenced-in back yard, or a dog park located nearby for his daily exercise needs. ELECTRONIC FENCING is not compatible for a Beagle's curiosity and desire to hunt/chase critters.

Macon is in & will remain in foster care in Rutherfordton, NC until his person/family is approved.
We will be happy to send you more pictures and videos of Macon interacting with other rescued pups and just being Macon at Howlin4Spirit, upon request.
We have cat-tested him with cats and he did very well, although he was interested in their food dish(so separate feeding areas is highly advised).
