Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Meeko and I’m a 1 -1/2 yr old, 65 lb pound, totally awesome looking white Boxer mixed with a Mastiff X. I look like I have two black eyes but honestly I didn’t get punched! I just have big, black beautiful “puppy dog eyes” that melt everyone’s hearts! I was named after a movie star! A Raccoon who wears a mask just like me.
My eyes make me look a little worried, but really I’m a carefree, comical, fun loving gal. I love clowning around and acting a little goofy sometimes because I’m very young and still learning. Life is so exciting and entertaining to me! I get a kick out of meeting new people ( I can be quite exuberant with tail wagging and wiggling). And I love playing with most dogs. It’s kinda weird - some dogs make me feel shy - but most dogs make me feel really happy. I’m even good with older dogs. I know I have to chill out when I’m with them.
I was born in the Yukon but I don’t remember it there. I was just a pup when I come here. Luckily, my people realized how cool white boxers are and they adopted me. Some people used to think white boxers aren’t as good as coloured boxers, but now everyone knows it’s not true! In fact, 25 % of all boxers are white and many of us have spots too! (Nope - we aren’t part Dalmatian - It’s just the pigment in our skin). And, we’re as healthy and as smart as any other boxer! Truth is, we are pretty cool canines!
Being that I am only a year and a half old I have quite a lot of energy. I’m a pretty good athlete - I love walking, running, playing in the yard - I’m up for it all! I might even like agility or flyball! I’ve been to puppy and advanced training classes so I know what to do! ( I don’t always do it though because the mischievous part of me takes over). I’d like to go to a new home with energetic, active people who need adventure just like me. I get lots of exercise now - I usually walk 4 to 5 K a day and I play games in the yard with my humans. They keep me busy and I love it.
It’s very sad that I have to look for new humans. The ones I have been living with are getting a divorce and neither can find a place to live that is affordable, where I can go too. And they want me to be happy. They know that living in a small space, without a yard wouldn’t be good for me. So they are willing to let me go. They are hoping to help me a find a family who likes and understands pups like me, and who are kind, loving and athletic . I am strong, energetic and smart so I need to be challenged by a dog savvy human, but I’m sensitive too so I need positive, kind leadership.
I’m pretty much the whole doggy package - fun loving, smart, friendly and affectionate. I’m a loyal guardian to the people I love and will protect my family if necessary. I love kids (older ones - I might knock over little ones) so wouldn’t want any harm to come to them. I’m affectionate, enjoy some quality time on the couch now and then and love to be with my family. If you are looking for a joyful friend who will turn into a dignified, calm friend, later in life, I am the girl for you.
