My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello I am Orion! I am an 11 year old Quarter horse with cataracts. Our vet says I am in great shape and can even see some shadows and light in one of my eyes which helps me get around. I am still able to get around well, as long as I have an experienced handler or another horse by my side. I was brought to a livestock auction to be sold in an area where kill buyers will buy horses to ship them to Canada for slaughter. My owner brought me in, tied me to a post at the auction house and left without a second thought about what might happen to me, even though I was blind and had no idea where I was or what was happening. When I was brought into the auction room I was being bid on by a kill buyer and thats when Wayward Ranch came to save me. I am a great guy that loves to be doted on and I also stand well for grooming, the vet or the farrier. I have just started a training program to help keep my mind stimulated, although I would be very happy to just be a companion horse as well!
