Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Gwen has an incredibly long and complicated story, but suffice it to say this poor girl has been through the ringer, even though she's practically a kitten herself. She's about 1-2, but tiny - 6 pounds soaking wet *after* we got her healthy.
We found her living outside, where she had befriended some young boys who would feed her scraps. She was covered in some bizarre substance and was dehydrated and underweight, and we could tell she was going to go into labor at any minute. We brought her inside and tried to get as much nutrition in her as possible before she burst, but within a week we found that her congenital hernia was complicating her pregnancy. (The hernia has been fixed with no ongoing complications!)
If you meet her, her foster mom will tell you all the details, but finally after three months she has raised her baby and is ready for a home of her own! She is extremely affectionate - a velcro kitty for sure - and LOVES her kittens. (She adopted a litter of five from a feral mom.) She will only play with kittens and protects them fiercely from adults - we thought this would dissipate after her spay and the hormones went away, but she still calls them from anywhere in the house and waits outside their door when they've been put away for the night.
Gwen would like to be adopted with her little boy Peter Porker, since it's so difficult for her to make friends with adult cats. She loves people and is wonderful with kids (even young, rough-and-tumble ones). She's playful, curious, and very outgoing. She always wants to see who's at the door and what everyone else is doing.
She has a beautiful coat, soft and silky and a unique chocolate brown color with the big bullseye swirls. Her mini-me, Peter Porker, is the spitting image of her! Both of them are talkative and have ridiculously cute little chirps.
Gwen is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea-free. She combo-tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Please complete an application at tinyurl.com/meowornever to meet her and her babies!
