Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Daisy was abandoned; she came with three other Chihuahuas and a note from her previous owner: “I am moving out of state today, and cannot take the dogs. I tried to find good homes, but with short notice it was hard. Daisy knows when you are having a bad day. She loves being under the covers. Please take care of them. They are great dogs.”
Weighing in at only 6.5 pounds, Daisy packs a whole lot of affection and cuteness into every single ounce! Her black and white coat is very unique, and she almost looks like she’s wearing a black mask over sparkling brown eyes. Daisy’s face lights up when she’s happy: she really does smile! Still a puppy, she’s so tiny an adult home is necessary since children cannot always understand small dogs must be treated with extra special care. Daisy is already house trained, but can be a little shy at first. She is very playful, loves other small dogs and would be happy in a small home with a small yard. Currently in a foster home, Daisy needs a home, and a human, of her own.
Chihuahuas are the only “natural” toy breed – other toy breeds have been bred through generations to be smaller dogs. Generally Chihuahuas are healthy and live a long life, with have an average lifespan of 12-20 years. They are alert, observant and agile.
Daisy is a super sweet girl. We recommend you call AALOC to make an appointment to meet Daisy during visiting hours and get to know her a bit before submitting an adoption application. We’re betting you’ll fall in love.
