Here's what the humans have to say about me:
NOW AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION:
“ABBY” is a very smart, easy going, little white Toy Poodle who is a survivor! The owner had told us that she was 6 years old, but from the AKC papers that came with Abby, we can see that she was born May 6, 2006!
At one time, “ABBY” and “BENTLEY” had been deeply loved and well cared for. Sadly, when the owner became ill, the Poodles were severely neglected. Somehow the owner recently found the strength to contact various Humane Societies. She was told they were full and referred her to us. The very next day, I drove to northern Minnesota to retrieve the Poodles…..
Abby has slowly recovered from her horrific experience and extensive Vet work by spending most all of her time resting in the various dog beds we have on the floor in our living room and at her foster home.
She is now very observant of what is going on around her, is quick to learn, loves to be held and cuddled, likes her food and enjoys the warm sunshine. She will also do the Poodle “zoomies” where she loves to run around really fast. And yes, Abby is a VERY smart Poodle girl who knew all about house training while she will run up and down the steps into the fenced back yard.
Such a very sweet and lovable 5 pound little girl who is only 9″ tall. She loves to be held, cuddled and loved. You can clearly see that she has hope a loving family will adopt her even though she is a “senior” with a limited time left before she flies into our Great God’s loving arms.
PLEASE:
*NO puppies, NO large, aggressive or assertive dogs. She needs to be an only dog OR with older (senior dog like herself), or gentle, or any easy going small dog.
*NO children.
*A fenced yard or pen will be required as she loves to run and is not leash trained.
To the right family, Ava’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes the $17.00 Minnesota state sales tax. She has been spayed, is up to date on all of her shots, Heartworm / Lymes / Ehrlich / Anaplas tested negative, wormed, placed on a heartworm preventative, Home Again micro-chipped, registered and Vet checked “healthy”.
Also, Abby’s 3 hour dental surgery had 18 broken, black and rotting teeth being removed. She is certainly feeling and doing a LOT BETTER! She is now eating a quality hard kibble just fine with her 2 remaining teeth. Thank you for your donations and Dr. Amanda at Barrington Oaks Vet Clinic!
Her adoption fee also includes a leash, collar, her crate, a bag of quality dog food, treats, toys, a folding toy box, a new pink blanket, a big, soft, pink doggie bed that fits in her crate, along with lots of good information to help your adoption move forward on the right paw!
