Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hayden is a female red-tri aussie located in Fayetteville, NC
Approximately 7-8 years old and weighs 55lbs.
She has gorgeous unique eyes, 1 brown and the other is blue.
She also has a beautiful full tail!
Before coming into rescue Hayden endured some pretty severe neglect and missed out on a lot of socialization.
We believe her previous owner had her for the sole purpose of breeding her again and again.
Hayden is very sweet and affectionate but it takes her a little while to warm up to new people.
Her ideal adopter would be someone that is patient and willing to take things slowly with her while she gets to know you.
The wait is completely worth it because when she fully opens up, she is very much a velcro dog and bonds fiercely with her human.
She will follow you absolutely anywhere, even into the bathroom. Lol!
Due to this we feel she will need to be the only dog in the home because she isn't fond of sharing her person or space with other dog's or cat's.
Children can also be overwhelming for her so we feel her new home will need to be an adult only home.
Since being rescued Hayden has also been through 3 surgeries due to mammary glad cancer.
Due to her past medical history Hayden is searching for an adopter that will understand the importance of keeping a close eye on her because this cancer does have a risk of reoccurring.
Any new bumps/masses will need to be examined by a veterinarian ASAP and may require surgery.
She is on a daily medication to help prevent the cancer from reoccurring.
It is VERY important that her adopters keep her on this.
Inspite of it all this girl has one amazing spirit and hasn't let any of this keep her down.
She is a low energy girl who loves cuddle time on the sofa and sleeping on her dog bed in front of a fan.
She's a smart girl too!
Walks very well on leash, and knows the commands for sit, down, off and is completely house and crate trained.
Hayden is very much a cookie monster too.
If you have treats she will love you forever!!
Come on, with that sweet face and those big beautiful eyes you know it's quite difficult to tell her no.
She also LOVES to go for car rides and
short walks.
Hayden is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm/flea tick prevention.
