Reagan is approximately 5-6 years old and was an abuse case through a
local shelter. Upon intake she was only 17lbs and it was uncertain if
she would survive due to the starvation and neglect (see before
picture). After being in a shelter foster home for a few weeks (legal
requirement) she was allowed to be pulled into rescue with FOR. She
had improved greatly in her first foster home and continues to thrive
in her FOR foster home. After many months of treatment, two eye
surgeries, many medicated baths and lots of trial and error with her
diet, she is now a chunky 42lbs, happy and healthy! She does have
allergies and skin issues that are being managed with medicine and a
special diet. She will have to remain on her special food for the rest
of her life so her new family MUST be committed to her medical needs
and treatment! She will never have all of her hair back in some areas
but we think that just makes her even more special and beautiful!
What she lacks in hair she makes up for in personality! She loves all
people, dogs, cats, and anything else she meets. She just wants a
family to love her just as she is and to continue to work with her on
her allergies / skin issues so she can be comfortable, spoiled, and
happy for the rest of her days!
