Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oh, Miss Lady! If only you could talk. This sweet, sweet girl was found by a Good Samaritan tied to a tree outside of an Applebee's with a box next to her with her young pups inside and a note that said her name is Lady. What a thing to do to a young mama! But being abondoned by her people didn't turn this sweet thing's heart against people - she loves and trusts people and has been a wonderful mama to her babies.
Now that Lady's babies are all old enough to venture out on their own (and the required stray hold time has passed without anyone contacting us about her) it is time for this little Lady to find a home that will treat her right.
We believe Lady is a Shiba Inu/Chihuahua mix but really have no clue as to her true mix. All we can say for sure is she is 100% purebred mutt, our favorite breed. Lady does wonderful in a crate, in a car, and on a leash. She gets along well with other dogs and kids and with cats she's okay - but of course all these things require proper introductions. She is also house-trained.
If you think you are just the right home and family she's deserving of please read on or go to the adoption process page of our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org.
All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.
Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
