Adoption fee on this dog is $300.
Lolita is a black and tan female, approximately 7 years old and weighs 70 lbs. She was adopted from us two years ago, but the family's life style changed when two 3.5 year old children came to live with them. Lolita was not getting the exercise or structure she needed and the children running around making lots of noise caused her stress. Lolita prefers a calm environment and was not doing well with this new chaos in the home.
Lolita knows basic commands, is housebroken, crates nicely, loves car rides and daily walks. Previously she lived with an older chihuahua and a cat. In her current foster home, she does well with the senior male German Shepherd who doesn't engage in play. She is not a fan of the two younger German Shepherds who are still pretty energetic. An affectionate girl, she prefers humans to canine companionship. She loves getting groomed and tolerated a bath well too. She is learning that getting on the human's bed is not acceptable, even though she was allowed to do so in her last home.
Although not tested with small critters, she shows no interest in the many squirrels in the yard that drive the other dogs crazy.
Lolita would do best in a calm home as an only dog or with another senior male dog. No small children.
