When we write cute as a button we REALLY mean it!! Just take a look at Maybeline's sweet, adorable button nose, propped up floppy ears and compact little body.. I know you'll agree with us! Maybeline is the sister of Sienna, who came up last transport and has been adopted. Sienna's owners describe her as "absolute perfection!!" and we'd have to agree for darling Maybee! Both dogs have wonderful kind and polite temperaments.

Maybeline has been coming out of her shell more and more as each day passes here. All these things like walking on a leash, passing cars and even doorways into unknown spaces are new to her and she has been incredibly brave facing it all with pure grace! The first day, Maybeline had a hard time walking through the door to the house.. after some guidance from her handlers, doggy friends and hot dogs the door is no longer a fear! She proudly walks right on through ready for her walk!

Maybeline adores doggy companions. She is best buds with Macduff and Huxley.. the threesome go on all their walks and playtimes together. She also seems to be a bit more confident with a dog around! Maybee has grown a great fondness for her main handler Kelly. She would follow Kelly everywhere if she could! It seems that once trust is built between Maybee and a human companion, it is strong! Kelly often picks up Maybline to say hello and you'll see her tail wagging a mile a minute under Kelly's arm as Maybeline reaches up to smell Kelly's face. Such a sweet interaction!!

We are taking it nice and slow for sweet girl Maybeline while providing her with as much time and space she needs to really come into her own. Right now, Maybeline's program includes taking longer and longer walks to new places as her self confidence grows and bonding with her handlers. When she sees her handler friends, her tail wags in big, wide circles which mean LOVE in doggy language!
