My story

Say hello to Shadow!
His owner was very heartbroken to have to surrender him to the rescue but Shadow's momma passed away in January and his dad travels a lot for work and he didn't want to leave his care up to family members when he is away. Shadow came from a home with another small dog. So far we have tried one introduction with a very laid back large breed dog and it did not go too well. Shadow became very dominant. He always stops to say high to the little dogs behind the cross pen but we have not had him free roam around them. The home he came from also had children there but we have not tested him while in rescue.

He will need a home that is not afraid to teach him his boundaries as he still has pup in him and doesn't know his own strength. He loves to play but he also loves to just chill with his humans. He will need a good sized, fenced yard to romp in.


He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. We also had his tail amputated while in rescue due to a very painful happy tail.


This good looking boy will make a loyal companion once boundaries are set.
