Here's what the humans have to say about me:
CODY is a 1-year-old neutered male black lab. Cody weighs 37 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.
DESCRIPTION Cody is a beautiful black pup. He did well meeting other dogs at the shelter. He can be startled easily and gets nervous in new situations, so go slowly when you first meet him. He needs to be walked with a harness. This sweet pup is looking for a family that will spoil him and train him.
UPDATE: Cody is doing well in his foster home. He is quickly learning about the good life and made huge improvements in the past weeks. He was terrified of everything, including his foster, when he first arrived. With the help of medication and patience, Cody is slowly becoming less scared of the world. He prefers to lay in a corner where he feels safer. He will now come to his foster and give her the sweetest gentle little licks on her cheek before running back to the corner. He accepts pets and wags his tail when his foster comes in the room. He is not afraid of the resident dogs, but he is not drawn to them and is not yet sourcing confidence from them. Cody continues to work on house- and crate-training. This sweet boy needs a quiet home and a very patient adopter that will help him become a happy confident, boy. He discovered the bed and thinks that it is wayyyy comfier than the corner and does not want to leave! He does not care who comes into bed with him - dog cat or human. He is now Good with Cats.
